1. Who's your player in SmashBros?
Depends on who I’m playing against. I’ve always had a fondness for Link, but I have no qualms about using Kirby or Meta Knight. I’m not good at SmashBros, so I don’t mind using cheap characters!
2. Do you talk to plants?
Not often, but when I do, it’s usually “You’re dying, aren’t you?”
3. Do you follow politics?
Some. Until I get tired of the stupidity from both sides (all the sides?) and throw up my hands and ignore it for a while. I’m a strong supporter of “Get educated and vote,” no matter what the issue/candidate is. But I just – don’t have the mental energy to deal with all the stupid that flies around it all.
4. A dragon takes over your town. What do you do?
Try to befriend it. Likely get eaten in the process. “Seriously, dude, I just want to study you!!”
I’ve always loved dragons, so – maybe I could find a way to at least be in its good graces enough to look at it and long to pet its pretty scales?
5. What's the last book you read?
Swing Shift by William D. Arand. It was a very fun harem romance romp within the urban fantasy genre.
6. Coffee, tea, or world domination?
Coffee, followed by tea. I drink a lot of both, and I prefer to have coffee so I can feel like a functional adult. At the office, I’ve got a stack of tea boxes and a little electric kettle.
World domination? You can keep it. Who needs to run the world when you can just sit and watch it from afar?
7. What were you like in high school?
The highly sheltered home-schooled-through-high-school kid who read voraciously and did a final paper on the historical origins of European vampire and werewolf legends. When I got into college, my friends had this game, “Who can make Amethyst blush harder?” The pale Irish skin makes the blushes turn this bright red, almost purple. So… yes. That was me. The budding Goth with the reading habit who didn’t realize that N*Sync and the Backstreet Boys were a thing until at least college.
8. Do you drink enough water?
Most days? I have people who yell at me if I don’t…
9. Who really killed JFK?
The Illuminati.
10. What's your favorite conversation starter?
…There’s a reason I’m mostly a lurker on DA. I don’t start conversations well. I’m the person who pops up randomly in convos, but always feels super awkward.
11. Tell me about your favorite OC?
We’ll go with the non-avatar OC. His name is Timone Alucard, but usually goes by Tim. A literal giant of a male at 7.5 feet tall, he’s a male pure-blooded vampire with a pituitary growth problem. He’s a bit on the husky side, shaggy blonde hair, very European looks. As a vampire, he has the ability to shift into a single predatory animal, in his case a liger.
He was the classic “Run away to join the circus” kid, only he made good on the threat. He started by shoveling elephant dung and eventually moved up to an escapist act. He’s very good with locks and lockpicks.
He’s very lovey and romantically inclined, but stays perpetually single. There’ve been a few relationships, but none of them have ever really stuck. He isn’t close to either of his divorced parents, or the maiden aunt who was his primary caretaker when he was a kid. He claims a greater amount of kinship to his distant cousin than any of his immediate family.
12. What are you like in real life?
When people have asked this, the best answer is that I’m a goth Polly Anna. I’m almost always upbeat and positive (to the point where it sometimes annoys even me). I’m very spooky and love a number of dark and strange things. I read the Hannibal Lector series in early high school and loved it… What can I say?
I’m also a caregiver by nature, so my first instinct is always to be helping the people I decide are “mine.” I’m fairly laid back, but I am very much a geek. If you find any of my interests, I can be quite intense.
13. What makes you happy?
Life makes me happy…
But it’s also the small things. Lavender and bumblebees (they are so cute when they’re bobbing on these little sprigs of lavender!), good food, good friends, good books.

Introduction to a new style of art
While I do a lot of varied art projects (many that never make their way to the world of the internet), one of my current passions is 3D digital art. I'm a writer most of the time, but it appears that some of that talent has been put into this new medium.
I was inspired to start this after reading several web comics that use 3D art as a medium. To put it mildly, I was utterly enthralled. I wanted to do something like this: create art with pictures, but utilizing my (rather limited) drawing skills.
As part of my art kit, I mainly use Poser 2014 and the Daz3D Millenium 4 characters (Victoria 4.2, Michael 4, and the Kids 4).
I'm also a frequent shopper at some of the model websites: Daz3D, Renderosity, and RuntimeDNA.
Got any questions? I'm more than happy to answer them. I've only been doing this for about two years, so I'm by no means an expert. But I'm open to discussing my artwork.
